ABOUT ME

My identities are many and varied: I am a nonbinary disabled veteran, an interfaith minister, a mother, a biker, a chaplain, and a diver. I am a queer baker, a suicide loss survivor, and an evangelist for PTSD therapy.

My Training

I received my B.A. in Psychology from Georgia State University, and my Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University.

I am an ordained interfaith minister and currently practicing hospital chaplain in process of Board Certification, with training in Psychological First Aid and Skills for Psychological Recovery, Disaster Spiritual Care, and the Cognitive-Based Compassion Training endorsed by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.

I have further completed training in grief, loss, suicide interventions, PTSD, motivational interviewing, sleep interventions, moral injury, trauma-informed leadership, and a number of other topics.

All relationships grow and change- and that includes our relationship with what is Sacred to us.

As our needs evolve, so too will our relationship with the Divinity both within and without ourselves. My goal is to facilitate your exploration of what your needs are in the present moment, and how to build a relationship with Divinity which meets those needs.

Sometimes, this may involve exploring your past spiritual needs, and how they were and were not met. We will make space for you to unpack not only your past theology, but also your hopes for your future path.

Lastly, we will work to turn those hopes into goals, and those goals into accomplishments.

    In this phase, you spend time listening deeply and attending to your Spirit in order to align your needs and goals.

  • This Season of Life

    Next, you will look at the present season of your life and discover how it has both limited and freed you.

  • Bulbs in Winter

    This step focuses on the gift at the heart of waiting by using the image of a seeping bulb, allowing you to reframe obstacles in a supportive manner.
